Saint-Anne Prison / Avignon
Like a fly glued to the ceiling, I watch the empty cells in deafening silence.
I can feel that they want to tell me a story, the story of all the people who have stayed here for varying lengths of time. But some stories can’t be told and some secrets have gone with the protagonists.
The walls have kept a trace of this passage deep inside them, a trace that they will keep forever. The place will undergo major changes, some walls will disappear and life will return.
A page will be turned, but history will be written forever.
